The Forum is based upon newly-appointed managers’ experiences and concerns.
Aim
The Forum is intended to provide a fundamental understanding of the essential ‘need to know’ issues, which directly impact upon the newly appointed manager and their capacity to understand and work in this new and sometimes ambiguous role.
Who it’s for
The Forum is based upon newly-appointed managers’ experiences and concerns. It is inspired and designed by former first line managers in the sector and management educators.
What you will learn
This 3-day programme will include:
- Role of management / manager
- Adjusting to your new role, transition from staff member to management
- Behavioural issues in the workplace - understanding conflict
- Team building and communications
- Decision-making and time management
How it benefits you
Based on experiential learning and discussion, you will develop management skills and become more confident in your new role as a manager, as well as your ability to deal with the issues that will arise.
